Educational
Service District 105 implements and manages several cooperatives
of mutual benefit to our districts. By hosting cooperatives, we
can help save schools money while providing access to services they
may not be able to offer on their own. Our ability to pool resources
and leverage public and private support helps secure new resources
for our region.
Our cost effective
and cooperative approach brings this region nearly $36 in services
for every $1 in state funding we receive. Our resource leveraging
capabilities make us a unique partner in education.
We develop our programs
based on school district need. By building networks and cooperative
arrangements among districts and other agencies, we now offer centralized
service for 10 cooperatives.
| In
1995, the Legislative Budget Committee conducted a review commending
the value of ESDs. The report concluded, "a major benefit
of ESDs is that they provide access to services that would otherwise
not be available to school districts." |
