Educating
students so they
stay
tobacco free
|
ESD 105 staff
members ensure that all schools in the region have access to resources
and support for tobacco prevention and intervention. We work with
state, county, and community partners to reduce and eliminate tobacco
use.
Every day about
45 students in Washington use tobacco for the first time. Thirty-three
percent of these students will be addicted before they graduate
from high school. Of those addicted, 1 in 3 will eventually die
from a tobacco-related illness.
