EXEMPLARY ART CONTEST

The annual Exemplary Art Contest for student artists in the state of Washington has been discontinued because of Migrant Education Program changes.

The Migrant Education Regional Office at ESD 105 invited high school students in Washington State to participate in an art contest to design the cover of the 2006 Exemplary Migrant Student Yearbook. The purpose of the contest was to increase awareness and interest in the book, and to give migrant students a feeling of ownership for a book designed to highlight their achievements.

After the artwork was chosen for the cover, an entry from each MERO region was selected for the respective section in the yearbook.
